In our earlier article, we have explained the complete list of command URL shortcuts you can use in Edge browser. If you have noticed, the latest Chromium based Edge browser does not have a top menu bar that you can use for quick access. Obviously, you need to frequently perform tasks like opening a new tab while using the browser. Therefore, instead of searching for menu items, it makes sense to use keyboard shortcuts in Microsoft Edge to save time and get things done quickly.
Quick Example of Using Keyboard Shortcuts
Before going to the complete list, let us show some examples so that you can understand how helpful it will be to use keyboard shortcuts.
- Instead of right click and select “View page source” option, you can simply open the source code of a webpage in new tab by pressing “Control + U” keys.
- Take a quick webpage screenshot using “Control + Shift + S” without using the default Windows Snipping Tool.
- Simply press Home or End keys to jump to top or bottom of a webpage.
- Press “Control + Shift + W” keys to close currently opened Edge browser with multiple tabs without any prompt.
