If you are an AdSense publisher, then you have also another option to get your AdSense data flowing into Analytics account. In this article, we will explain how to link Google Analytics with Google AdSense account to easily track your earnings from Analytics account.
Before Starting
You can initiate this either from your AdSense account or from Analytics account. Before starting ensure you have the followings:
- Approved account with AdSense for Content.
- Approved site in AdSense account.
- Added and verified Analytics property the site.
- Administrator access to both accounts.
Remember, you can connect one AdSense account to multiple Analytics properties and vice versa.
1. Connecting from AdSense Account
- Login to your AdSense account and navigate to “Settings > Access and authorizations > Google Analytics integration” section.
- Click on the ‘New Link’ button to open a pop-up.

- Click in the box to view all your Google Analytics 4 properties.
- Select the property from the list and click “Create link” button.

- After successful linking, you will see the GA4 property is showing in the list. You can anytime delete and unlink the Analytics property.

2. Linking AdSense from Analytics Account
- Log in to your Analytics account and click the ‘Admin’ gear icon showing on the bottom left corner.
- This will open all links, check under ‘Product Links’ section and click ‘Google AdSense Links’ option.

- Since we have already linked the accounts, here you will find your AdSense publisher ID. Otherwise, click the ‘Link’ button to find and link your AdSense publisher ID from here.

3. View AdSense Reports in Analytics
Now, you can view all AdSense related reports directly from your Analytics account. Also, parameters like earnings, page URL, screen class, ad formats, ad source and ad impressions will get tracked in the report from AdSense data.
- Go to Analytics account and click the ‘Advertising’ section from left sidebar.
- Check ‘to’Publisher ads’ report under ‘Publishing’ heading.
- This is a default report available where you can check earnings, customize the report and download data.

You can also go to “Reports > Monetization > Publisher ads” section to find the AdSense report in your Analytics account. Note that the report data will be available 24 hours after linking the accounts, until then it will show empty layout.
Final Words
Now that you can use the Google Analytics app and start monitoring AdSense earnings right from your smartphone. This is very useful since Google discontinued AdSense mobile apps. We have noticed that the revenue details are different (generally lower) in Analytics reports compared to AdSense reports. But Analytics reports will give you details like which page earns more, which advertising source pays you more and many others details that are difficult to get from AdSense reports.
