Calendar is used to show your organized events or activities to site visitors and request them to engage in the events. This can be used in multiple ways like showing customized sports events or just showing the holiday calendar for your country. Google offers many useful services and calendar is one such a service you can embed on your site in a few clicks. On your Weebly site editor, drag and drop an “Embed Code” element and paste the Google calendar code inside. You calendar is ready now and will look something like below:
Adding Events to Calendar
Click on the “Create” button in Google calendar site to add your events to calendar.
Events can be customized with options like adding a video call, pop-up notification, etc. You can also add Google calendar button by copying the code displayed during publishing the event. This button enables the users to save the event on their calendar.
Making the Calendar Public
The calendar by default is only visible to you and you need to share it with public in order to make it visible for everyone. Under “Calendars” tab select “Share this calendar” option against your calendar.
Checking the option “Make this calendar public” will enable Google to index your calendar events in public search results. Additionally enabling “Share only my free/busy information (Hide details)” will only show the schedule without the description of events.
Unfortunately, you cannot add links to sites to the calendar. So, it does not meet our organization’s needs. I’ve tried all of the online suggestions I could find about how to do this, and none of them work.
