Imageperfect is the name of the editor used by Weebly for the purpose of processing images uploaded in a Weebly site. You can upload an image to your site using “Image”, “Image + Text”, Gallery and Slideshow elements. In addition to these four elements you can also directly upload an image file by editing HTML/CSS. Free Weebly users can add an image to the header by choosing appropriate page layout and Weebly Pro users have an additional option of adding slideshow to their site header. Both header image as well as header slideshow can be edited using Imageperfect editor.
Editing Images
After uploaded an image to your site, just click on the image to see the options for editing your image.
Click on the “Edit Image” button to open Imageperfect editor which has the following editing options:
- Crop the image by resizing, the new cropped image will be saved as a new image and any time user can revert back to the original image.
- Rotate the image to any specified angles in left and right directions. Also the image can be flipped horizontally and vertically.
- Increase or decrease the opacity.
- Fade the image in specified direction.
- Black & white and antique coloring effects.
- Polaroid and burnt edges.
You also can add another image on the existing image using “Add Image” option. Rotate option allows you to flip the image vertically and horizontally. In addition you can rotate the image to any degree by moving the slide-bar in left or right direction.
Effects button provide you the coloring and edges options for your images. You can convert the image to black and white and change the edges like burnt edges using these options.
Editing Header Image
Click on the “Edit Image” option displayed on the the header image to open the image editor.
In addition to normal image processing options as mentioned above, you can add text to your header image using “Add Text” button. During processing of your image, you can revert back to the original image any point of time.
Weebly Pro users have an option to add slideshow to the site header and customize the slideshow using “Edit Slideshow” option. You can add new slides, control the navigation style, adjust slide delay and transition style using imageperfct editor.
After editing the image Weebly offers three options to save your images.
- Save to all pages
- Save to this page only
- Save to selected pages
By choosing appropriate option you can control which pages on your site should show the image or slideshow. By choosing “Save to this page only” option you can add different header images to different pages on your Weebly site.
