How to Share Weebly Blog Posts on Facebook?

Nowadays social media had become unavoidable source of information and making use of the social networking sites like Facebook for site promotion is a free and effective way to reach out interested audience. Weebly offers very simple way to integrate with Facebook and in this article we will discuss the step by step process on how to share Weebly blog posts on Facebook.

We would say this is a semi-automatic process since publishing a post will not share the article and you need to click on “Share” button again to share the article on Facebook or Twitter.

How to Share Weebly Blog Posts on Facebook?

Step 1 – Configuring Weebly Settings

Login to your Weebly site and navigate to “Settings > Blog” and enable the post share button option. Click on the “Customize” link to  choose the sites you want to share your article. At this moment Weebly offers only Facebook and Twitter integration.

Step 2 – Connecting Weebly to Facebook

Once the sharing option is enabled, you will see Facebook and Twitter buttons in the popup screen appears after publishing the blog post. Enable the Facebook button to connect your Weebly account to Facebook profile.

You will be prompted to choose either your personal Facebook profile or organization’s profile.

Choose the profile you want to share all your Weebly blog posts and you will be prompted to login to your Facebook account. Once logged in with your credentials, select the option for whom you want to share the blog posts.

The default option will be “Public” and ensure the posts are shared publicly so that all the followers can see the shared articles.

Step 3 – Sharing the Article

Once the connection is successful, you will be automatically taken back to Weebly popup page where you will see the Facebook button is enabled now. Enter the short message for the followers and click on the “Share” button to share the article on your Facebook profile.

Every time after publishing the article, you can share your blog post instantly on Facebook personal profile or company page with special message to the followers. You will also see a success message once the post is shared on Facebook.

What Happens When You Connect Weebly to Facebook

Once the Facebook connection is setup, Weebly will automatically connect your account to the Facebook profile or page which can be seen under “Settings > General > Facebook Sharing”.

This will enable complete integration of your Weebly and Facebook accounts like sharing of posts and login to Weebly with Facebook account. When you publish a page, click on the Facebook icon shown below the site URL to share the site URL to Facebook.

On your Facebook account, you can see the Weebly app is connected under “Settings > Apps”.

Anytime you can remove this access or change the sharing options as you need.

  1. Facebook algorithms and search engines do the best they can. If you don’t supply a photo in with your facebook post it will do the best it can to determine what photo will work. Best to have a photo to post with your facebook post if you want to keep control of that.

  2. This may sound like a stupid question but I need help! Every time I try to share a post on Facebook it posts with a photo that isn’t associated with the post….how can I fix this? It’s very annoying!

  3. Hello! I have noticed when I publish my blog, the resulting screen is so big I can’t “Share”. I’ve tried all the usual stuff, making room at top of screen and trying to slide the screen itself to make it smaller. Any other ideas? Much thanks. – ilona
