Importing Bookmarks
There are two ways to importing bookmarks depending upon whether you are moving between the browsers on the same computer or on two different computers.
1. Import Bookmarks from Chrome to Firefox
If you have Chrome and Firefox installed on the same computer then the process is simple. Similar to Chrome, Firefox also offers built-in feature to import bookmarked content from other browsers installed on the computer. Follow the below instructions to import bookmarks from Chrome to Firefox.
Launch your Mozilla Firefox and click on the “View history, saved bookmarks and more” icon that shows few lines. Navigate to “Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks” menu. Or simply press “Ctrl + Shift + B” in Windows 10 or “Cmd + Shift + B” in macOS.
Click on “Import and Backup” button and choose “Import Data from Another Browser” option.
Firefox will show all installed browsers on your computer. Select “Chrome” as the destination for importing all settings and data and click “Next”. Ensure to close Chrome before you try to import the bookmarks, otherwise Firefox will show a warning message in the import wizard to close Chrome.
Firefox will show all the items to import from Chrome like browsing history, saved passwords, cookies and bookmarks. Select “Bookmarks” checkbox and click on “Next” button.
You will see the “Import Complete” screen indicating the bookmarks are imported from Chrome to Firefox.
After importing your Bookmarks from Chrome to Firefox, your Bookmarks automatically appear in the bookmarks of Firefox.

2. Import Bookmarks from Chrome to Firefox with Different Computers
The above inbuilt method will not work when you are changing the computer. In such case, you need to export Chrome bookmarks from old computer and then import the file in Firefox on new computer.
Exporting Bookmarks from Chrome
Click on the three horizontal dots setting icon on top right corner of Chrome browser. Click on “Bookmarks > Bookmark manager” menu.
Click on the three vertical dots in the bookmarks address bar; remember this is a different button than the one available on the browser. Choose “Export Bookmarks” option.
Choose the location where you want to save the bookmarks file, preferably in a removable disk or on cloud storage so that you can use on different computer. Chrome will import bookmarks in HTML format which you can use to import in any other browsers like Firefox.

Importing Bookmarks On Firefox
As explained in the above section, press “Ctrl + Shift + B” in Windows 10 or “Cmd + Shift + B” in Mac to open Library showing all bookmarks and history. Click on the “Import and Backup” button and choose “Import Bookmarks from HTML…”.
Select the HTML bookmarks file you have downloaded from Chrome and import.
Note: At first installation of Firefox, it asks users to import Bookmarks from another browser, but that section is purely optional.
