Once Bluehost was the darling for bloggers to launch their site with their cheapest shared hosting plans. However, the quality went so bad over period of time that people started moving away from this popular hosting company. Now under the new brand name called Newfold Digital, Bluehost has really a modern look much better than other cPanel service providers. Let’s see how can you easily signup for the lowest price and create your first WordPress site in minutes.
Signing Up for Bluehost
Go to the Bluehost website and click on the “Get Started” button. The price of the hosting plan may vary based on your country. As you can see the price in the below screen is showing as $2.95 compared to the original hosting price of $10.99 per month.

Choosing the Plan
After clicking on the “Get Started” button, you will see the next screen showing pricing of various plans. Bluehost offers four plans – Basic, Choice Plus, Online Store and Pro.
The plans are offers under 12 months and 36 months contract terms. Click on “36 months” tab to see the comparison of the pricing between the terms.
Obviously, they will push you to purchase 12 months contract for $2.95 per month as you need to renew it for $10.99 per month after a year. Click on the “Select” button on the plan you want to signup. On the next signup screen, you will be prompted to select the domain. You can either register a free domain with Bluehost or use your existing domain registered elsewhere.
The domain you use for signing up is a primary domain for your account. If you are confused at this point of time, click on “I’ll create my domain later” link. Bluehost will setup your account on the temporary domain. Don’t worry; you can change the primary domain at any point of time by discussing with Bluehost support representatives.
If you don’t see the “I’ll create my domain later” link, without entering a domain name, just move the mouse to the browser’s title bar nearer to closing button. You will see a popup triggered showing “Choose Free Domain Later” message.
Click on the “Choose Free Domain Later” button to go to next payment screen. Sometimes, Bluehost also show this pop-up directly when you land on the domain registration signup page.
Signing Up for Cheaper $2.65 Price
As you can see, the total price for 36 months contract is $249.96 with $4.95 per month. This price includes SiteLock Essentials and CodeGuard Basic, which you can disable.
Now move your mouse nearer to the close button on the browser. This will trigger the exit pop-up again and show you the reduced Bluehost signup offer price of $2.65 per month as below.
Click on the “Claim Savings” button to get the cheapest $2.65 per month shared hosting plan. So the final price for 36 months contract will become $95.40 with the total savings of 73% as shown below.
We believe this is the lowest price you can get among any other hosting provider.
Not Seeing Offer Pop-up for $2.65
The pop-up with lower price is called exit intent which appears as Bluehost tracks the custom’s action and detect that you are going to close the page without purchasing. This is a common trick followed by many hosting companies to show reduced offer price when you try to close the browser tab. Try the following, if you are not seeing the $2.65 pop-up offer.

- Use another browser or device to check. You can check with incognito or in-private browsing mode.
- Try connecting with VPN and check the offer price from another country.
