Google Search Console is the only way for you to submit your site to Google search engine. You should add your site and verify the ownership in order to use all features of the Search Console account. Google offers two ways to verify your site – Recommended and Alternate method. Most of the site owners use the alternate method like verification with HTML meta tag. But recommended way is much easier than the traditional HTML meta tag verification method.
Why Use Recommended Method?
There are many good reasons you should use recommend method of verification:
- The recommended method is very easy.
- Google automatically adds DNS text record on your domain level. You don’t need to worry about adding the manual verification code on the pages of your site.
- Also you don’t need to insert the verification code every time you change the theme or plugin of your site.
Just verify and forget. It will stay forever on your domain DNS record as long as you modify it. Google provides integrated way to verify site ownership with various domain registrars. So when you transfer domain to a new registrar after verification, go to Search Console and verify it again with the new registrar.
