How to Add Survey Form in Weebly Site?

You can use survey forms in Weebly site to collect information from the users. It provides opportunity to increase the user interaction and time on page from SEO perspective. Weebly offers a survey element in order to add a customized survey to your site. Good part is that Survey element is available for free users also. You can simply drag and drop the survey element in content area to add the form.

Customizing Weebly Survey Element

You can add different type of elements like email box, drop-down or radio button options to your survey depending on the requirements. You will see three options as shown below when you click on the survey:

“View entries” is used to see the used submitted entries, “Form Options” is used to customize your survey form and “Save” is to save all your changes. Click on the “Form Options” and you will see a pop-up box showing the below options:

Add your email where the alert will be received for each submission and customize the confirmation text or link to be displayed when the user click on submit button. Besides the whole form, each element in the form can also be customized. For example below is the options for an email element which you can set as required or not and tell instructions on how to fill.

Survey Form Fields

The available elements in the Weebly editor will be changed once you click on the survey element as shown in the picture beside. You can drag and drop each single element into your survey form to add phone number, email or checkboxes. File upload option is only available for Weebly Pro users which is marked with star on the element.

Adjusting the Position

By default, Weebly Survey form occupies full width of the page. There are no default option to reduce width of the survey element. However, you can use columns element to divide the space into multiple columns and place the survey element in the required column. Blank columns will be considered as empty space and will not be displayed in the published site. This way you can adjust the position and size of the survey element to fit inside your content.

You also can use block quote element within columns element to show it as a vertical divider. This will separate the content and the survey form by a divider line as used in the above form example.

Choosing Options

In order to provide options to users you can three fields in the form – Option buttons (Radio button), Check boxes and drop-down box. You can add your own field values or use the default values already available. There are many predefined categories also available like Gender, Age, Income, etc.
