This is a free app comes with power packed resources for image processing. At first, you may feel exhausted with the numerous options available within the same screen. But later you feel it hand to get everything you wanted with few clicks.
You can do many things with this free tools, which you can’t do with paid Snagit app.
- Adjust the image for brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, invert, greyscale, etc.
- Manage multiple layers on single image.
- Add text, remove red-eye, blur, noise reduction.
On some apps drawing a straight lines is a difficult task. With this app, you can easily draw lines and lines with 45 degree. There are paid options like removing background and converting images to SVG.

This is a multiple function app. You can create collage, edit photos, touch up and batch process images with single app. Select the image and change the scene, crop, adjust for colors, add effects and many other things.

This single app offers photo editor, collage maker, GIF creator, screen capture and many other functions. You can open multiple images in batches and process them on the same screen.
Some of the options are partially free and you need to get the pro version for using all available features. The pro version offers additional features and templates for $30.
5. Polarr Photo Editor [Download]
Polarr is one of the photo editor apps with simplest user interface. No wonder why it was editor’s choice in App Store. It has many features like lights, filters, face tools, colors, crop, etc. You simply need to click on the small icons and select the tool you need.
The pro version will cost you $2.49 per month or $23.99 per year.
Out of all the 5 apps, Photo Image Editor Pixelstyle is the only app offered for completely free. It also offers decent features for a free app. Snagit is generally meant for web development and not good for personal image processing. You don’t even find options like collage maker though the price is at high end. The problem with remaining 3 apps is that the free and pro options are mixed. When you click on any of the pro option then it will prompt you to upgrade. You can upgrade one of these apps when you need a feature that is not available in Photo Image Editor Pixelstyle free app.
