3. Get Yourself Out of Your Comfort Zone
A writer should never stop reading. Actually, no one should. Reading opens up your mind to new ideas, and new ideas are just what a blogger needs. Both fiction and non-fictional works are excellent sources to help you come out of the mental ruts.
If not books, then surfing around to read other blogs on subjects would probably be just as good for expanding your horizons. Focusing on blogs that talk about the same ideas likely to develop a feeling of competition that will leave you with a sense of frustration if the writing is anyway better than yours. If they are not as good, you may feel superior. Both of these feelings are detrimental. Therefore, you need to keep away from such practice for the sake of self-improvement.
